Thanks for Checking In!

My name is Ella Kimberly. I'm a 23-year-old from Connecticut, spending a year of service in Lima, Perú, as a Young Adult Volunteer (YAV) with the PC (U.S.A)*. Through this blog, I will chronicle the work I'm doing, as well as the conversations we are having regarding subjects like racism, environmentalism, human rights, simple living, and what it means to be a Christian volunteer in another country - not a missionary or a tourist. I am choosing to use a digital camera instead of my phone to practice intentionality when choosing what to document and post. The aim with my camera is to focus on the realities of the next year,  prioritizing authenticity over aesthetics.

All photos on this blog were taken by me, unless stated otherwise. The camera I'm using is a Kodak PixPro FZ55.
